The Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma founded N2N University in 2015 to help meet the need for highly trained, automotive workers in Indian Country. The university began its first academic year in April 2016 as a non-profit learning institution. Established with a grant from Federal Transit Administration through Grand Gateway EDA, the university continues to grow with partners across Indian Country.
Vision: continually be at the forefront of workforce demands, therefore creating programs that launch lifelong careers for our graduates.
Mission: (1) N2NU will create partnerships with Tribes, businesses, industries, and communities to develop training programs for in-demand careers; (2) N2NU will guide, educate, and prepare students for self-sustainability; and (3) N2NU programs will include industry-standard certifications that are beneficial to employers and employees.
Value: “Respect. Walk. Life… Complete the Cycle.” Reflecting the Native way, we instill traditional values in our students so they may sustain themselves and those they support.
